What it is
Created by supermodel Tyra Banks, America's Next Top Model follows a group of young women of various backgrounds, shapes and sizes who live together in a loft and vie for a modeling contract. The show exposes the transformation of everyday young women into potentially fierce supermodels, with participants facing weekly tests that determine who can make the cut. With mentoring by supermodel Tyra Banks and exposure to high-profile fashion-industry gurus, the finalists compete in a highly accelerated modeling boot camp--a crash course to supermodel fame.

The 32 semi-finalists for cycle 15 head to Palm Springs, where they perfect their runway walk in clothing from Cynthia Rowley before being invited to a party hosted by the designer. Fourteen finalists will be one step closer to their dream as they prepare to move in to the Top Model house and have the chance to win the ultimate career-launching prize package: a contract with IMG Models, one of the top international modeling management companies in the world; fashion spread in Vogue Italia and an additional spread and cover of Beauty in Vogue; and a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl Cosmetics.

At the final runway, the girls are dressed in Roberto Cavalli designs. Cavalli is the guest judge at the final panel and will help determine who will become America's Next Top Model.
