The 29th Annual Bounce Trumpet Awards, an exciting celebration spotlighting African-American achievements and excellence. For the first time in its history, this special edition Bounce Trumpet Awards will feature a 'Stand Up' honoring individuals who risen to fight social injustice for Black Americans. 

Xernona Clayton Award of Distinction recognizes individuals who, having succeeded against immense odds, herald change and prosperity to enhance and enrich the world. 

Vanguard Award recognizes individuals who creatively challenge the norm by introducing mainstream culture to avant-garde ideas and making a social impact in their respective industry. 

Trailblazer Award recognizes pioneers who inspire others to follow their path to greatness with innovative ideas that challenge the status quo. 

Valor Award recognizes a bold and courageous individual whose moral compass directs their impassioned fight toward fairness and the betterment of society while overcoming insurmountable odds.  

The Trumpet Awards Foundation presents the 24th Annual Trumpet Awards, to celebrate and honor history-making entertainment, humanitarian, political and philanthropic individuals. Nia Long and Mike Epps, co-stars of the upcoming ABC sitcom 'Uncle Buck,' will host the black-tie ceremony, to be held at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, January 23, 2016. The 24th Annual Trumpet Awards will air on Bounce TV and nationally in over 75 markets. This event was taped on 23 January but it is finally airing tonight, 29 January for the 1st time.

This year's Warriors of Justice Award honors Rev. Jesse Jackson, Founder/President of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition; Marc Morial, President/CEO of the National Urban League; Derrick Johnson, President/CEO of the NAACP; and Dr. Charles Steele, Jr., President/CEO of the SCLC.

Excellence In Entertainment Award: Courtney B. Vance

Living Legend Award: Stan Lathan

Rising Star Award: Zaila Avant-garde

Xernona Clayton Award of Distinction: Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock & Senator Jon Ossoff 

Luminary Award: Tyrese Gibson 

Impact Award: Princess Sarah 

The Trumpet Awards herald the accomplishments of Black Americans who have succeeded against immense odds. Special recognition is given to a few, who symbolize the many, who have overcome the ills of racism and poverty and achieved special greatness.
