Show Summary
This Crime series follows Matt Passmore as Jim, a Chicago cop who gets kicked off the force after being shot and wrongfully accused by his ex-captain of having an affair with his wife. On the day of Callie's board exam, Jim must solve the murder of a businesswoman who had founded a new surf clothing line and was about to offer the endorsement opportunity of a lifetime to a young, local surfing champion. Jim gets more frustrated over Callie's lack of communication, while a sympathetic Jennifer tries to comfort him. As he faces an uncertain future where Callie's career in Atlanta will pull her further away from her life with him in Palm Glade, Jim realizes he must make a decision on where their relationship is headed.
The body of an $80-million Florida state lottery winner is found murdered on a remote island in Islandia, and Jim and Jennifer must unravel a personal vendetta spanning over a decade between the victim and the island's only resident. Miranda pulls Callie away from her studies to have some fun at a medical sales mixer, but Jim starts to find Callie harder and harder to reach in Atlanta.
Jim and Jennifer discover the high cost of beauty while investigating the death of the owner of a luxury medical spa; Callie becomes overwhelmed by her crowded agenda.
Longworth and Jennifer investigate a murder that puts them at odds with the Sovereign Citizens, a bizarre anti-government group that believes they are above the law. Manus and Carlos soon find themselves victims of the Sovereigns' paper terrorism attacks when they are suspended from duty. Callie desperately searches for her old cell phone where she recorded Elkins blackmailing her into sleeping with him for overlooking her tax issues.
The murder of a woman who contacted the Innocence Project to exonerate a death row inmate now forces Jim to team up with the detective who investigated the original case: Jim's former partner when the Florida State Attorney General's office calls her to testify against the IRS agent who handled her audit and tried to extort her for sex a few years back. Reluctant to take time off to help the State Attorney, Callie is surprised when Miranda is not only supportive of her request, but also learns that Miranda has been the victim of sexual harassment herself, and the two women bond through their shared experience.
When Jim finds the ex-Navy Seal owner of his favorite food truck dead in the truck's kitchen, he ends up embroiled in a heated political battle between the new wave of gourmet food trucks and the established boardwalk restaurants. Jennifer takes an active and prying interest in Jim's cases, while Callie's attempt to confront Miranda about her hostility backfires.
The dead body of a naked woman leads Jim and Carlos to investigate a close knit nudist colony fighting against expansion by a luxury condo development. Jennifer begins interviewing the substation employees and finds its high case closure rate seems directly related to Jim, in whom she takes an interest that may be more than just professional.
While Jim helps Callie settle into her new apartment in Atlanta, Carlos performs a guest autopsy for Daniel's forensics class at Tampa Tech. He discovers that the cadaver he is dissecting is actually a murder victim who turns out to be a student that was killed while participating in an on-campus pharmaceutical study. Also, the Palm Glade substation gets a new addition when FDLE Bureau Chief Jennifer Starke comes down to visit Manus, while Callie gets off to a rocky start with her new boss Dr. Miranda Buckley.
A swimmer in a mermaid costume is found dead on the beach; Callie's stalled job search causes Jim to feel guilty.
When Jim and Carlos investigate the death of a millionaire who bequeathed all his wealth to an organization of UFO enthusiasts, the organization's leader accuses the FDLE of covering up the true cause of death: an alien abduction. Meanwhile, Jim and Callie's relationship heats up, but Callie's job search to keep her in Palm Glade falters.

In the Season 2 finale, ex-con brothers seize Callie's hospital and take hostages, and Jim and Callie must work together to capture the men and keep everyone safe.
An Ernest Hemingway look-alike is found shot in the head and adrift in the ocean; and an old lover from Callie's past arrives with a surprise.
Jim is called on the scene when a man is found dead on the beach and the owner of a beachside bar is the main suspect. When a large diamond ring is found in the murdered person's pocket, more questions arise with Jim trying to find the girl that it belongs to. 
When a Coast Guard Marine's finger is found inside a dead boar's stomach, Jim and Carlos go out to find the killer. This results in uncovering something bigger than just a murder as well. Jim and Callie decide to start over.
When a coach is shot, Jim is called in to investigate the murder. Jeff takes it hard and shuts down from Callie. She seeks the help of Carlos and his daughter Maddie. When the spotlight lands on a freshman who brought a gun to school, Jim races to solve the murder and reveal the person who gave the kid the gun in the first place. 
When a minister is found dead in a pit of snakes, Jim is forced to go into the world of a religious sect that he knows nothing about to find a killer that could be in the midst of the members. Callie and Jim exchange awkward talk about the fact that Sam is gone now.
When a Haitian doctor is found murdered, Jim pieces things together and finds that he was involved in illegal drugs and selling them as well.
When a woman's body is found in a baby stroller in a area where the people are descendants of sideshow people, Jim is on the case to find who killed the woman.
When a man finds a man killed at a rest stop, Jim and Carlos along with Dr. Perez, an old student of Carlos's, investigate further to see what the cause of death was and who did it. Carlos and Perez had a relationship together once, making for an awkward day at the office.
When a 12-year-old girl gets pulled over and the police find the body of a NASCAR mechanic in the trunk, Jim is put on the case to find the killer. Ray is attacked and Callie has second thoughts about going with him when he goes into witness protection.
A body is found by two 8-year-old girls and Jim is called on the case. Callie is hired on as a Forensic Nurse and Jim and her have a connection. The man is a Navy recruiter and they find that a baby's life may be in danger if they don't get to it before it is too late.
When Detective Samantha Harper, a woman from Jim's past, comes to Florida, Jim and her have to team up before a killer kills again. They have a chemistry that Callie feels threatened by. Callie tells Manus that she would like to work for the FDLE.
Jim is put on the case when a daughter of a Cuban Mob member is found dead. In order to prevent a war, Jim needs to find the killer. Callie and Jeff get word that Ray is going to be released from prison.
