Show Summary
The Try Guys testing their mettle in kitchens across America by attempting to whip up a variety of classic dishes and restaurant specialties - with some "surprising and hilarious results".
The Try Guys get a taste of Nashville, Tenn., where guest judge Kalen Allen will determine whose food hits the high notes and who falls flat. First, they unintentionally redefine dosas at Chef Maneet Chauhan's Chaatable. Then, they try their best not to spill any 'tiers' making wedding cakes at Triple Crown Bakery for owner Alena Vaughn.
In Santa Barbara, Calif., The Try Guys compete against each other in two cooking challenges with no recipes for guest judge Mike Chen! First, they take a stab at fish fillets while attempting to debone their own seafood specials with Michelin-recognized Chef Preston Knox at Barbareno. Then, they roll and fold themselves into knots with Chef/owner Pierre Henry at Bree'Osh Bakery as they work to get their filled croissants on the menu.
The Try Guys hit Atlanta, where guest judge G. Garvin sees them get down and dirty for Slutty Vegan's owner Pinky Cole in a vegan burger food truck challenge. Then, they improvise the five flavors of high-end Thai noodles in a desperate attempt to make the menu at Chai Yo for owner DeeDee Niyomkul, a chef so talented that she beat Bobby Flay!
The Try Guys dig into Charleston, S.C., where they see who's the top dog of the low country with guest judge Kardea Brown. First, they find out when hot wings are too hot with Lenoir's owner Vivian Howard. Then, they take a pair of vintage mobile pizza ovens for a stationary test drive in a race to feed 20 hungry diners and impress Coastal Crust's owner Brian Piesner.
The Try Guys return to Los Angeles, where guest judge Kalen Allen critiques two very LA cooking challenges. First, they unwrap the secrets of tamales for James Beard-winning chef Christy Vega at her famous celebrity-hang Casa Vega. Then, they jump out of the frying pan and into the fryer with Executive Chef Erica Viramontes to get on the menu at Sidecar Doughnuts.
